Vintage Vinyl

I just spent 5 hours getting lost on the way to and from a record store in Fords, NJ. And I didn't regret a second of it.

Noury and I blasted Swan Lake, Wolf Parade and Modest Mouse the whole way, joking and talking about a short film he wanted help with. We went too far, not far enough, etc. until we finally pulled up to the store.

From the get-go, it's huge... bigger than Princeton Record Exchange, Jack's Music Shoppe and Sound Fix COMBINED. I spent an hour and a half there and cleared MAYBE 1/5 of the store. To top it off, there's a stage set up for in-store performances at the back. Titus Andronicus played there recently. Pity I missed it.

While they were out of LC! (Sorry Jesse), the selection really was tremendous. I'm especially excited about my purchase today. I got a limited edition Boyracer album (only 50 made) in a cloth sleeve, a Dntel 7", and two random 7"s that I've got a feeling will be pretty good.
